What documents do you need regarding the economic origin of the funds and why?
Home > FAQ > After you have ordered > Receiving the documents > Economic origin

Before your account can be opened, we need to establish clearly your economic background and the economic origin of the funds you will deposit on your account.

  • By economic background we mean what you do for a living. What is your profession? If you are a businessman, what sort of business do you operate? If you do not work, where does your income come from?
  • By economic origin of the funds, we mean how did you came in possession of the money you intend to deposit on the account. Did you earn it through your profession? Did you receive it as an inheritance or insurance policy? Did you sell a house or a business? Do you receive commissions or bonuses?

We need documents proving both your general economic background and the economic origin of the funds. Work contracts, commissions contracts, tax returns, diploma, certificate of incorporation - anything can be used. Once you have gathered these documents, we advise you to check with us before you return us the documents to see whether they are sufficient to open the account.
