Can a bank that issues traveler's checks find out where they have been cashed?
Home > FAQ > Before you order > Deposits & Withdrawals > Traveler's checks

The issuing bank can find out where the traveler's checks were cashed. In fact, you must always reveal your identity when making a purchase. Since each check is identified by a unique number, it is theoretically possible to trace it. In practice, however, this type of search is rarely carried out, at least not systematically.
