Home > FAQ > Before you order > Documents needed > Requirements

You need to provide some information and documents to open a Swiss bank account:

When you order or take an appointment
  1. Information about your banking needs (account currency, amount of deposit, standard transactions you will require, preferred language, etc.)
  2. Information about the economic origin of your funds .
  3. Information about how much you plan to deposit on your account within the first 12 months or so.

When you return us the documents or come to  Switzerland
  1. Your passport  is enough if you open your account in person. However, if you open by mail, we need an authenticated copy of your passport.
  2. A recent utility bill (water, gas, electricity but not telephone) to validate your legal address.
  3. Documents to prove your economic background and the economic origin of the money. These documents will depend on your profession and the source of your funds. We will let you know which ones are required in your case (copy of your employment contract, diploma, bill of sale, etc.).

This information is protected by Swiss bank secrecy and will remain strictly confidential.
